Bismil Wastewater Project, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, is undertaken by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations, and the last beneficiary of the project is Diyarbakır Water and Sewerage Administration (DİSKİ). The general aim of the project is to protect the environment with the wastewater treatment plant and wastewater collection system to be implemented. The general compliance of our country with the strategies and policies related to water in the EU acquis will be increased and environmental pollution will be reduced to minimum levels by establishing an integrated water management in our country. In this way, Turkey's accession process to the European Union will be accelerated.

Project Implementation Unit: It is the unit established within the General Directorate of DISKI and representing the End-Recipient.
Consultant: Consortium who led by Tractebel GkW GmbH and perform technical assistance and supervision.
Works Contractor: Joint venture who led by Gündoğu İnşaat Ltd. Şti. which performs the construction of Bismil Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collectors.
